I would just like to take this moment to wish you a very Merry Christmas! No matter what you’re doing today, I wish you all of the happiness and health, and let’s start thinking about how we’re going to make 2023 so much better!
I just want you to remember that if you’re currently struggling with your weight, please don’t feel like you have to starve yourself today. Like I say to my clients who are also struggling, it’s all about baby steps.
Here’s my biggest pieces of advice for Christmas day…
- Mindful eating – eat slowly, savouring the taste of what you are eating. Put your fork down between bites. This way, you truly get to enjoy your meal!
- Watch your portion sizes – you don’t have to starve or go without – just reduce your portion sizes so you don’t undo any of the good work you’ve done so far!
- Have a fun and happy day! This lifetime is too short to spend it worrying about things! Enjoy yourself, and if you follow the two bits of advice above, you’ll feel so much better!
