If you’re reading this, you want to know how to stay motivated to lose weight.
Motivation cannot be “controlled” as such. It’s not like you can pursue motivation. If anything, motivation is an outcome.
When it comes to losing weight and knowing how to stay motivated to lose weight, what you can control is what builds motivation.
That way you can:
- Just get started without being given the green light to do so
- Know that even if it feels hard, when you take action you’re getting close to achieving your weight loss goal
- Understand that you have complete control over your choices and subsequent actions
To what are you giving your power away to?
When you understand that you have the power to completely transform your body (and your life), and stop allowing other factors such as lack of time, unsupportive family members, or any other excuses you can come up with, to own that power, you can move closer to achieving your weight loss goal.
How to stay motivated to lose weight
No matter how small those steps toward your goal are, they’re still steps in the right direction! It will feel good when you take those steps, and it’s the little bits of measurable progress that you make that can be enough to keep you going – to keep you motivated!
Until the next day that is!
This is why the process of taking those little baby steps needs to happen every day. This way you’re building momentum and keeping things moving in the direction you want.
And this is how you achieve great things!
What if I fall off the wagon?
If you’re human, it’s possible you will trip up at some point. This happens to the best of us, but you know what? If you fall off the wagon, the best thing to do is to brush yourself off, then get back on that wagon again!
This will feel like a long, slow and difficult journey. So what’s important now is to look back at regular intervals and see how far you have come, and at first there won’t be too much to see, but the longer you stay on that wagon, the more incredible you’re going to feel when you understand how much you have progressed!
Why lose weight in the first place?
Even if you had all of the money in the world, you can’t buy your health. A large percentage of the population is overweight or obese, and they’re suffering from illness, disease, aches and pains as their bodies struggle under their weight, and while surgery for some might seem a good option, that comes with a whole bunch of issues as well!
So if you’re reading this, I am guessing you would love to lose weight and to experience having a healthy, fit and strong body so that you can truly enjoy life! And that’s a wonderful thing, as long as you start doing something to make that happen!
While your progress may seem slow at first, patience will keep you going! I know we all want what we want yesterday, and unfortunately that’s not how life works!
But if you are patient and committed, you’re going to see results – you’ll feel better, your waistline will start to shrink, your joints will feel less pressure, you will feel a sense of accomplishment as you reach certain milestones, and so much more.
