Are you prone to eating too much during the day?

There are ways to trick yourself into eating less:
- Slow down. Really take the time to savour the taste and the aromas. Take your time and enjoy!
- Use a smaller plate or bowl. This gives the impression you are eating more than you really are.
- This one is a biggy – never, EVER eat straight from a multi-serve packet or container. Take out what you want to eat and put it into a separate dish (or it could even be a handful), and put the packet or container back. How many times have you sat down with a family sized packet of M&M’s to find you’ve eaten the entire thing??!!
- When shopping, avoid (as much as possible) buying non-supportive foods. Whole foods fill you up a lot quicker than high sugar/high fat/processed foods.
- Keep a food diary and write down everything you eat each day. This will encourage you to really think about what you put into your mouth.
