Wouldn’t it feel amazing to look in the mirror and really love what you see? Imagine how your body would look, all toned and tight, with all of your bumps in all the right places! Could you imagine?
If you’re human (and if you’re reading this, I am guessing you are!), I’m guessing you are often tempted to eat unsupportive foods when you should be focusing on healthy foods, or to sit on the couch and do nothing when you could be out exercising. You’re not alone.
The problem is, most of us don’t have a compelling enough reason to do what think we should be doing, so we choose not to do it! Not only that, but if you’re carrying around some limiting beliefs that tell you that you will never achieve your weight loss goal, then of course you’re not going to help yourself, right?
If you’ve read this far, you’re probably wondering when I am going to get to the part where I tell you how to lose weight fast. Many “experts” will tell you this is not possible, nor is it healthy, but I am going to provide you with a slightly different point of view…
It is possible to lose weight fast, but there are a couple of factors which must be in play before this can happen, and these are:
- Your core beliefs – if you do not believe you can lose the weight fast and keep it off, then you won’t – it’s as simple as that
- Your focus – you must stay focused on what you want to achieve, and your supportive actions (such as choosing what to eat and how often to exercise) will contribute to your achievement
Your core beliefs are extremely important because if you do not believe you can do this, then you will find every excuse under the sun to quit. Most people don’t even realise they have these core beliefs until they come to somebody like me, to figure it out!
If you’re not in a position to ask somebody like me for the help, then find yourself a quiet spot to sit without interruption, and say to yourself, “I am so happy and grateful now that I weight X” (replace X with your goal weight). Notice whether you feel “light” or “heavy” in your body. If you feel light, then your subconscious is telling you it is aligned with your words. If you feel heavy, then your subconscious doesn’t feel so good about your words. The heavy response to this statement could have links to your self worth, not feeling “enough” or “worthy” of achieving such a goal. It’s definitely something for you to address.
Once you have the core beliefs under control, your focus comes next. It’s really important to keep your eye on the prize, so to speak, to remind you of where you’re headed.
I find it’s helpful to set up a vision board (or similar) with pictures from magazines or photos which reflect what I would like to look like. I used to follow a coach who had a similar build to me. I loved how fit and toned she looked, so I used a photo from her website as my inspiration.
A daily visualisation or even an affirmation card is a good way to keep your focus where it needs to be. If you’re feeling fat today, dig out your card, or visualise for a few minutes, and really feel how wonderful it would feel to achieve your weight loss goal!
I hope today’s post has provided you with some help and inspiration so that you can finally lose weight fast!
