Do you want to know how?
New Year tips to lose weight
As I am a certified Nutrition Coach, I’ve learned many tips and techniques to losing weight, and you can get started today, without any additional help. And you don’t necessarily have to cut out “bad” foods or restrict yourself either!
Here’s a sample:
- Take a photo of every single food or drink item that you put into your mouth. Doing this will create a conscious awareness of what you are eating and you may be tempted to eat more high quality foods. Don’t worry just yet if this doesn’t happen!
- Eat mindfully: Take a bite of your food, put your fork down, and chew the food slowly, savouring the flavours and really enjoy every single bite! This process alone will make a huge difference, because you are giving your body time to feel full!
- Reduce stress: Reducing stress is a very powerful way to lose weight, because it’s the stress that sometimes causes us to “hold on” to the wait for “protection”. It’s incredible what our bodies can do when they want to! Meditation is a great way to reduce stress and get yourself out of your head.
- Before you eat, drink a glass of water – this will create a little bit of “fullness” before you even start eating.
- Reduce toxins in your home: This is a biggie, because what many people don’t realise is that it has been scientifically proven that our bodies automatically generate more fat to dilute toxins in our systems. So if we’re using chemical cleaners and other products, it’s being absorbed through our skin. Once absorbed, the body makes more fat to dilute it! This goes for food too. The more chemicals in your food, the more your body will need to generate fat in order to dilute them. So you may want to change brands or try reducing processed foods over time, replacing with whole foods.
As you can see, none of the tips above will cost you much (if anything) to do, and over time, you may want to swap out cleaning or food items which contain toxic chemicals, to help move things along.
If you can’t do this all at once, that’s ok – just do this gradually and track your progress!
