With the silly season looming, you’re probably dreading the fact that you are going to be faced with many unhealthy choices over the next few weeks which will not do your weight loss efforts any good – because you’re not sure you can resist!
So today I’m going to offer you a few tips to help prevent you overindulging as many people do at this time of year.
- Remember, it is okay to have the occasional treat, but keep your portion sizes small.
- If you are following a fitness or weight loss program, then you know how many “cheat” meals you are allowed this week. Do what you can to stay within this limit as much as possible.
- Even though this is the holiday season, keep following your exercise program so that you don’t look back in a month or two, and dread everything you did or didn’t do over Christmas.
- Enjoy yourself! Get outdoors, have fun with the family, try something new, live life!
Just because Christmas is looming, doesn’t mean you can’t get out there and enjoy yourself. Instead, get out there and have fun, but just keep in mind that if you overindulge now, you will pay for it later.
