Why do it the hard way?

I went to the gym today when I noticed a couple of women who were quite obese, working out on the treadmills. They were still on the treadmill when I left, half an hour later. Both were walking slowly too, not varying their pace at all. In fact, neither of them looked as though they were working hard at all. They definitely hadn’t increased their heartrate at all - it was more like a leisurely stroll in the park!
I felt like grabbing my copy of Fit Yummy Mummy and giving it to them to read, seeing they could have done that quite easily while they walked!! If only they knew that if they just made a few small changes to what they were doing, the the pounds would start to fall off so much quicker.
ARGH! I feel so frustrated! They would not need to walk on a treadmill for hours on end. They’d be in and out of the gym within half an hour and they’d only have to go three times a week!
I’m nearing week 4 of the Fit Yummy Mummy 12 Week Transformation Challenge right now and I have definitely noticed a huge improvement to how I feel. I’ve been sick, but have almost completely recovered. I am definitely stronger, I am fitter and I think I’m even looking better!
I’m not a salesy type of person but in a few weeks if people ask me how I got to look so good, I’ll tell them it was the Fit Yummy Mummy that did it and send them to this website to read my story!
Week 3 of the Fit Yummy Mummy Summer Transformation Challenge

Ok, if it weren’t for the fact that I am sick - AGAIN! - I think I’d be doing a lot better than I am.
Needless to say, the scales are working in my favour, telling me I’ve lost more weight. How, I am not sure because I haven’t done a lot more than usual, although I have found time to do a little exercise, and my eating habits for the most part have been pretty good.
So now I enter Week 3, with only 9 to go before I can show off my new body! Woo hoo! It doesn’t seem like a lot of time, so I suppose only time will tell…
I made it through week 1 of the Summer Transformation Challenge!

Phew! Week 1 of the Fit Yummy Mummy Summer Transformation Challenge is finally at an end!
I did my three x 30 minutes of exercise and maintained a reasonably good diet too. I’m feeling energised and ready to face week 2!
I increased my dumbell weights from 6kg to 8kg so am really happy with my progress. Oh and I’m now doing 3 supersets of exercises instead of 2 like I was doing before! I am definitely getting fitter, and soon I’ll start to look better, now that I’m well and able to exercise again.
I’m back and ready to do the Summer Transformation Challenge!

It feels like I’ve been out of action for ages, but I’m finally back into it, and did some intense exercise today. Apart from feeling a bit wobbly, I’m ok!
I did around 15 minutes of my resistance training, with intervals (running/walking to the end of the street and back).
Now I’ve got to go and work out what I’m doing about lunch tomorrow - the key to succeeding in any weight loss program is to plan ahead, and today I’ve been extremely slack and haven’t arranged anything for the week, so I’d better go and do that now!
Still sick - I want to start the summer transformation challenge!!!

I am really starting to get frustrated. I’ve been a little unwell for over a week now. My husband’s been away with work, I’ve been working full time and of course I’ve had the children to look after as well.
I have until early next week to officially start the Summer Transformation Challenge, so will have to rest up so I can get started before then!
Tomorrow I start the Summer Transformation Challenge - AGAIN!

My health has finally improved and I will be ready to get into the Summer Transformation Challenge. I will start again.
I am currently working out my meals for the week so I don’t stray and eat bad stuff!
Here’s an idea of what I will be eating through the week, taking into account that I get up pretty early, am very busy and want to eat things that are healthy but quick to prepare:
Breakfast
Cheerios with banana, strawberries and milk
Meal 2
Almonds or cashews and a banana
Lunch
Chicken breast with salad
Apple/orange
Meal 4
Protein shake (made with water, protein powder, cocoa and stevia)
Dinner
Steak with mixed vegetables, including carrot, cauliflower and peas/corn
I’ve taken a break

Wow, it’s amazing how having the flu (or whatever it was) can knock you around.
As I posted recently, I’ve joined the Fit Yummy Mummy 12 Week Summer Transformation Challenge, but I’ve not been able to exercise because I’ve been feeling really sick!
So I emailed Holly (the Fit Yummy Mummy) and asked her if it was ok if I deferred my start date so I could start again when I felt better.
She replied, telling me I had until the end of the month to start and to look after myself, so that was really nice.
It is great having a personal trainer on hand to contact whenever I have any questions such as this. Also, she actively takes part in online conversations at Club FYM, posting videos on how to do things, and giving advice.
She’s been well worth more than the $39.95 I spent on her program, that’s for sure!
Day 5 of the Summer Transformation Challenge

It’s day 5 and I’ve only done one lot of intervals and one lot of training so far. My baby is sick and I’ve been a little bit “off” myself, but today I’m feeling good, although I’m home with a sick baby!
So today I will do my exercises (it only takes half an hour, so I’ve got absolutely nothing to complain about!) and then there’s only one more lot I need to do, so maybe tomorrow or Friday I’ll do them.
Because I’m doing the Transformation Challenge, in order to qualify to win the great prizes they’re offering, I have to update my progress at least once a week, so on Friday night I will do that.
I’m still eating healthy (most of the time) and I’m looking forward to Saturday because that’s “cheat” day where I am allowed to have at least one “bad” meal! It’s funny though, that these days I don’t feel nearly as good after a bad meal as I do after a good one!?

I am excited! I am about to start the Fit Yummy Mummy 12 Week Transformation Challenge!
In 12 weeks I will look FABULOUS! My baby belly will be gone, as will my love handles and my back fat!
I am so impressed with the amount of support given to challenge members. We support each other, and our coach, Holly Rigsby is there to offer her expertise whenever we need it.
So far over 100 women have registered and we have until the end of July to sign up!
Got to get the camera out and take some photos!
Redoing week 5 of the fit yummy mummy program
June 27, 2008 by Michelle Green

I’ve had a pretty slack week this week. I’ve had a couple of days where I ate “bad” food and I haven’t exercised since Saturday or Sunday.
So what I have decided to do is possibly join the 12 Week Fit Yummy Mummy Transformation Challenge, and I’ll start from Week 5, even though I’ve already done week 5.
This way, I’ll be able to do an entire 12 weeks of the FYM program (it has 12 weeks plus a bonus 4 weeks of exercise routines), and by the end I should be looking great in time for my sister in-law’s wedding! Yay!
Needless to say, I am still a LOT more energetic than I was when I started the program and for me, that’s by far the best thing about it. No longer does getting up at 5am kill me - and it’s winter!! Even my mindset is more positive. It’s great!
