Redoing week 5 of the fit yummy mummy program

I’ve had a pretty slack week this week. I’ve had a couple of days where I ate “bad” food and I haven’t exercised since Saturday or Sunday.
So what I have decided to do is possibly join the 12 Week Fit Yummy Mummy Transformation Challenge, and I’ll start from Week 5, even though I’ve already done week 5.
This way, I’ll be able to do an entire 12 weeks of the FYM program (it has 12 weeks plus a bonus 4 weeks of exercise routines), and by the end I should be looking great in time for my sister in-law’s wedding! Yay!
Needless to say, I am still a LOT more energetic than I was when I started the program and for me, that’s by far the best thing about it. No longer does getting up at 5am kill me - and it’s winter!! Even my mindset is more positive. It’s great!

How to lose weight efficiently

Many of my life coaching clients were struggling to lose weight and keep it off, and I wondered why it was so hard for them. Most of them hated to exercise, so I decided to do some research and see if I could find a more efficient way to lose weight.
I then came across the Fit Yummy Mummy program (most of my clients were women - and mothers) that talked about a smart and efficient way to lose weight through specific exercises. Of course there were some dietry changes required as well (as would be expected) but it was the exercise that intrigued me.
What I found most intriguing was that the amount of exercise required to efficiently lose weight was a lot less than I expected. I was amazed!
So here’s what I learned:
- You only need to spend a maximum of 15 minutes a day, 6 days a week or 30 minutes a day, 3 days a week (or other variations) exercising. That’s a total of 90 minutes a week.
- Resistance training is a must. Resistance training involves using those muscles in exercises such as squats, pushups, lunges, bench press, and many more.
- Interval training is also a must. Interval training involves going hard for a certain period of time, then slowing down enough to catch your breath, before going hard again. Each interval session should not go longer than 15 minutes total. I do 40 seconds hard followed by 40 seconds slow, and repeat.
- Performing a combination of these exercises will elevate your metabolism for 24 hours or more, meaning you burn a lot more calories than if you spent a significant amount of time on a treadmill for example where you only burn extra calories during the exercise but your metabolism returns to normal when you stop exercising.
- Doing 15 minutes of each type of exercise (resistance and intervals), 3 times a week is the most efficient way to lose weight.
Who would have believed that some people are doing too much exercise? I’ve tried this program (in fact, I’m in week 6 of the program right now!) and it really does work. In fact, this is by far the best weight loss program I have ever seen. There are no miracles promised - just honest and smart guidelines to follow.
If you really want to lose weight and you’ve tried everything and it hasn’t worked, then the Fit Yummy Mummy program is worth a look. It doesn’t cost you anything to look, right? The free newsletter alone is worth the effort, so go take a look.
Watch your calorie intake to lose weight

The traditional belief about how to lose weight is that you need to burn more calories than you consume, and for the most part, that’s right, but what I am going to tell you might surprise you, because if your calorie intake is too low, you could end up putting on more weight, rather than lose weight. In fact, you very likely will!
We all have a basal metabolic rate (or BMR). This is the rate at which our bodies burn calories, based on our gender, our age, our height and of course our activity level.
Once you know your BMR (click HERE to sign up for the Truth About Abs free fat loss report and get your free downloadable BMR calculator), you will know what calorie range you need to consume each day to either gain, maintain or lose weight.
The problem with many people is that they believe that to lose weight, they should just reduce the number of calories they are consuming. Some even resort to skipping meals in order to keep their calorie intake down or they just eat too few calories (way less than they should be).
The problem with this method is that starving your body like this lowers your metabolism. Our bodies are very complex and indeed very clever. Once you start starving your body, it becomes very efficient at storing fat. It does this so that it has somewhere to draw from when it needs energy. Whenever you eat, your body goes into “storage mode” and therefore if you wanted to lose some inches off your hips, you’re definitely going the wrong way about it because lowering your metabolism means more fat on your hips (and everywhere else!).
If you want to increase your metabolism, it’s time to start eating more often. Eating healthy food every 3 hours or so, 5 to 6 times a day is what you need to do. This teaches your body to hurry up and burn those calories because it knows more food is on its way only a few hours later!
Find out what your BMR is (again, sign up for the free Fat Loss Report from the Truth About Abs website and get your free downloadable calculator), and make sure you spread the suggested calorie intake over the 5 to 6 meals you are going to eat today and see what a difference it can make.
What is the best way to lose weight quick?

Is there a best way to lose weight quick? Of course there is! There are definitely bad ways to lose weight quick and they involve diet pills, miracle or fad diets and diets that suggest you cut out foods you need (such as carbs, for example).
So if you want to know the best way is to lose weight quick, here’s what you need to do:
1. Eat 5 to 6 meals a day - this helps to build your metabolism which is essential to weight loss.
2. Make sure you eat plenty of protein, fruit, vegetables and complex carbs at each meal - healthy food like this is harder for your body to digest, therefore requiring more energy. This is good for weight loss.
3. Avoid trans fats, sodas and any other sugary or processed foods. These are not helping you (although refer to point number 10 for a bit of relief!).
4. Exercise for 90 minutes a week - MAX!
5. Include 15 minutes of resistance training, 3 times a week in your exercise routine. The more muscle you build, the higher your metabolism will be (don’t worry girls - we don’t get bulky like guys do!).
6. Include 15 minutes of intervals training, 3 times a week in your exercise routine. Combine this with your resistance training and your metabolism will remain higher for over 24 hours. This is really good for weight loss!
7. If you don’t really know what you should eat or what exercises you should do, then find yourself a weight loss program that doesn’t promise miracles but does promise results. Try the Truth About Abs program or the Fit Yummy Mummy program. These are by far the best I have ever found.
8. Believe you can do it.
9. Stick to it.
10. Allow yourself a small treat once a week. This treat could include some “bad” food and as long as you watch your portion sizes, you will find that you can still lose weight even with a bad treat every now and then. Both of the programs mentioned above allow you to have this treat too!
As for whether you will lose weight quickly or not by following a great program like the programs promoted on my website, really depends on how well you stick to the plan. It will also to some extent depend on your genetics, but this is by far the best way to lose weight and keep it off.
If you are desperate to lose weight quickly, then here’s what you must do right now…
Check out the Truth About Abs and the Fit Yummy Mummy programs and find out what you have been doing wrong up until this point.
In no time you will have the body you only ever dreamed of having - if others like you can do it, then why can’t you?
My Fit Yummy Mummy progress

I’m nearing the end of week 5 and I have to say that things are very different now compared to what they were like 5 weeks ago before I started the Fit Yummy Mummy program!
I have so much more energy for starters - no longer is it an effort go get up at 5am! Who would’ve thought?
I am definitely fitter and what used to tire me out no longer does. Even squats are enjoyable! Not only are they enjoyable, but they no longer hurt nearly as much as they used to, and I am so much better at them!
At the gym I am lifting heavier weights when I do the dumbell bench press. I used to lift 5kg and now I’m up to 6kg. I didn’t think much of it until my husband said “That’s a 20% increase in strength!”. Impressive huh?
As for my size, well I definitely weigh less, although that does fluctuate on a daily basis, so I try to avoid the scales where possible.
My body also looks more defined than it did, and one bad thing has happened - my boobs are shrinking!!! ARGH!!!
Ok, that’s not the end of the world (that’s what push-up bras are for), and personally I’d rather feel fantastic than have nice boobs, so unfortunately the boobs will just have to take second place!
Looking at the positives, it means I am definitely losing fat from my body! Woo hooo!
Check out the Fit Yummy Mummy program at http://overweightandunhappy.com/recommends/fityummymummy. This program is by far the best I have EVER seen, and I recommend it to any woman who wants to lose weight.

How to lose tummy fat

Do you have a horrible, wobbly tummy? Do you feel self conscious about your tummy?
How would it make you feel if you were told that you can start to lose tummy fat starting today? What if you were told that it wasn’t hard hard to lose your tummy fat either?
Imagine how you will feel next summer while you parade around in your bikini with no tummy fat to be seen! You will be able to wear whatever you want, you will finally feel comfortable in your own skin and you will look fabulous!
I’ve been researching weight loss programs for a while now and I have finally found two great programs that not only help you to lose belly fat, but they will help you to lose weight all over. You will look toned and fit and you will feel great! I am four weeks into one of them and I feel fantastic! Not only that but I’ve lost over 4 pounds!
Both programs work on the same principles:
1. You must eat regularly to keep your metabolism up. Breakfast is a MUST!
2. You need to include protein, fruits, vegetables and complex carbs in your diet.
3. Exercising no longer involves hours at the gym, several times a week! In fact, you should only be exercising for 15-30 minutes at a time, max!
4. You should start seeing results pretty quickly (if you stick to the program).
5. “Bad” food is allowed on occasion (yay!).
For us women who really suck at staying motivated, online support is available via a weight loss “club”.

If you’re a man who wants to lose weight, visit http://overweightandunhappy.com/recommends/sexyabs
For those taking a look at the Fit Yummy Mummy program, yes it is aimed at women who have had a baby, however there are plenty of happy non-mothers who are extremely happy with the program, so please don’t let this deter you.
You can meet some of these women in the online community once you have signed up for the Fit Yummy Mummy free newsletter.
The second program (called The Truth About Abs) is more aimed at men, however it is suitable for women too. As I said, the two programs are almost identicle, and the main difference is in some of the information and wording. There are a few other small differences, but they do rely on the same principles.
I have watched many women try and fail to lose weight so many times over many years, and I have worked with women with self confidence problems which is compounded by their weight.
The problem with many women is that life kind of “gets in the way” with work and family etc when it comes to losing weight, but I believe that women really need to know that by not looking after themselves, they’re letting everyone else down.
So if you’re struggling with your weight or you want to lose tummy fat, then check out the Fit Yummy Mummy or the Truth About Abs program today, because these are by far the most sensible and inexpensive programs I have seen.
Desperate to Lose Weight Quickly? You’d Better Read This!

Many people who want to lose weight are desperate to lose weight quickly. I am sure that if we could all snap our fingers and instantly lose weight, we would be thrilled!
Unfortunately it’s not that easy, and many are sucked in by the “fad” and “miracle” diets out there. Problem with these is that they provide no long-term benefits, and many people put on weight and end up heavier than they were before they started! What a waste of time and money!
Don’t let this put you off though because there is a way to lose weight that’s easy and effective as I have found and as I have featured on my website.
If you are desperate to lose weight quickly, consider the following tips:
- You need to commit to your decision to lose weight.
- You must find yourself a decent weight loss program to follow. Remember that “fad” and “miracle” diets are nothing but a waste of your time, money and effort.
- Know that you are going to have to make some changes to your diet, whether you like it or not (sorry!).
- You WILL have to exercise! But don’t worry - the program I am following only requires that you do a maximum of 90 minutes a week. That’s only 30 minutes a day, 3 times a week!
- Never, EVER starve yourself!! Doing so will only lower your metabolism. Low metabolism = no weight loss! Remember that!
- If you’re not sure about whether to run on a treadmill for half an hour, or do intervals for 15 minutes, take the intervals - you will lose a LOT more weight in the long run.
- If you can’t afford to pay for a good weight loss program (as featured on this website), do yourself a favour and subscribe to the free newsletter and the free fat loss report offered, and be sure to download any free items you receive in return for your subscription. The good thing about these is that you can unsubscribe at any time.
You have probably realized by now that losing weight is going to take some effort, but if you find the right weight loss program, and you’re desperate to lose weight quickly, then you will do just that!
