Intervals

I was supposed to do intervals yesterday (because I didn’t get to do them the other night while I did Workout B), but I’ve got this terrible head cold.  Funny thing is, I am absolutely itching to do them, even though I feel like cr*p!

This is soooo unlike me because while I like to stay active, I’m never “itching” to exercise like this!  I suppose it’s because I’m only doing 15 minutes at a time, which is really nothing when you think about it.  I can usually do my resistance training in the lounge room while my daughter watches TV.  She sometimes hops onto my tummy and I try to do some of the exercises while I hold onto her! 

I am still really enjoying the Fit Yummy Mummy Program and the other day (after only 2 weeks!) I was able to fit into an old skirt that had been too tight before.  Mind you, by the end of the day it was a little more snug compared to the morning, but I’m happy I was able to get into it in the first place!

After week 4 I will post my measurements and hopefully I will have started to see a difference!

 The exercises shown in the video below are probably the more advanced exercises in the Fit Yummy Mummy program, but I can assure you, they’ll certainly get your heart racing!

This is just an example of just some of what you will learn about in the Fit Yummy Mummy program.

 If you really want to lose weight, then make sure you do something about it TODAY!  Just wishing you were thinner is nowhere near enough.

Today’s weight loss tip

If you want to lose weight, there’s one important thing you must do, and that’s to eat every 3 - 4 hours from when you get up to when you go to bed.

The first meal of the day is definitely the most important, so make sure you have a decent, healthy breakfast.  After that if you commit to eating every 3 hours or so, your metabolism will love you so you can continue to lose weight!

Fit Yummy Mummy Progress - How I am going

I am at the end of week one of the Fit Yummy Mummy program and I can honestly say I feel fabulous!

I have more energy, I am enjoying the workouts and I’m no longer feeling hungry all day.  In fact, I sometimes have to remind myself it’s time to eat! 

Today I attempted the second introductory workout and phew!  It definitely gave me a workout all right!  I even did 15 minutes of interval training without a break.  I felt like I wanted to collapse afterwards, but I did it!  Getting up in the morning even seems easier these days - and it’s only a week since I started!  Imagine what things will be like after a month!

I spent today browsing through the Club FYM site today and there were several blog posts which had before and after photos of some of the members.  Some of these women have done amazing things!  It gives me so much inspiration because I’m kind of ahead of them to start with (because I don’t have as much to lose as some of them), so losing weight shouldn’t be as hard for me as it was for them.  In fact, many said it was easy!! 

How about that?  An easy way to lose weight!  Would you check it out if you wanted to lose weight?  You’d be an idiot not to!

Nutrition to Lose Weight

Since starting on the Fit Yummy Mummy program I have had to change my eating habits a fair bit, but I must say it’s not been as hard as I thought.

I am eating five times a day, although I’m thinking that maybe I need six because it’s 7.56pm and I’m feeling a little hungry.  Today however, it wasn’t all bad.  In fact, I felt good pretty much all day.

Another thing too, is since I got over the gastric bug I had, I’ve had a LOT more energy!  All that good food is really doing it’s thing!

My night off

I’ve decided to have a night off because I am tired and today has been really busy.  Hubby didn’t get in until late, so dinner was late and therefore it was too late to exercise.   Remember, I only need to fit in my exercises 3 times a week on the Fit Yummy Mummy program, so all is not lost!

I’m off to the gym tomorrow night!

My Weight Loss Progress

I’ve had a lovely gastric bug, which really left me feeling terrible yesterday, but I am glad to say I think I’m on the mend!

I was only able to fit in 15 minutes of resistance training tonight, so will do my 15 minutes of interval training tomorrow night, then I’ll go back to trying to fit in both at the same time, which is my preference.

I am strangely starting to enjoy doing the resistance training, especially the squats!

I also have my own blog set up at Club FYM (again, you can become a member if you sign up for the newsletter at http://yummy.overweightandunhappy.com) and it is a really lovely community of women - they are so supportive and some have some very inspirational stories to share!

I have to go and get ready for bed, so I will sign off!  Good night!

Ouch! My Fit Yummy Mummy progress

Oooouuuccchhhh!  Today was my first attempt at the intermediate exercises in the Fit Yummy Mummy program and I have to say I am completely exhausted!  I probably didn’t do nearly as many reps as I should have and I am sure I was counting extra fast for the exercises I was supposed to hold!

As for the intervals, well I jumped on the elliptical trainer and I lasted an entire SIX minutes!  I ended up having an asthma attack, so had to stop.  Next time I’ll deal with that issue BEFORE it happens and not after.

The entire workout lasted around 30 minutes and my hamstrings are very cranky at me right now!  Those squats are killers and I feel like I’ve had a proper workout which is great!

Afterwards I had a protein shake with some added dextrose.  Good thing too, because I am NOT hungry!

I think I’ve got a touch of the gastric bug my daughter had last week too, so that’s probably not helping my energy levels either. Lucky for me, I bounce back quickly!  Next exercise day is Tuesday!
